Protective gear

2 min read

A helmet is the one legal requirement — every rider and passenger must wear one, and it must be E-marked (approved to ECE regulation 22) to be used on Swedish roads.

Beyond the helmet, a full riding kit — abrasion-resistant jacket and trousers (or a one-piece suit), gloves and boots covering the ankle — isn't a legal requirement to ride generally, but driving schools and risk-training providers normally require the full set before you can take part in lessons or risk training.
