If you don't read Swedish comfortably, you can apply to Trafikverket in advance for a theory test with an interpreter, who translates the questions and answer options for you in the room. Apply via Trafikverket's e-service, describe why you need it, and attach a supporting certificate; approval typically takes a few weeks.

Once approved, you can't book it online like a normal theory test — call Trafikverket customer service (0771-17 18 19) to book your interpreter slot.

Interpreter slots are limited compared to ordinary theory-test bookings, so apply and plan early. Locations may also be limited — confirm with Trafikverket when booking. The interpreter itself doesn't add to the test fee, based on real-world experience rather than an explicit Trafikverket price statement.
